You scour all the remaining pieces to try and find it, but as you're looking through the final pile, some asshole comes and randomizes all the fucking loose pieces so you gotta start looking for your 1 piece all over again. Imagine you're 12% into puzzle and you need 1 piece to finish the section you're working on. But if you're on the doorstep of a discovery at the moment of a reset, you're pulled out and gotta start from scratch. How am I supposed to organically get lost and stumble upon something cool if I get yanked out of the area moments before I make that discovery? The game does keep track of everything that you actually uncover in this big web of intrigue.

After a couple of these it completely ruined my immersion. However, you only get to explore for 20 minutes at a time. You learn early on that something happened (gasp!) and for some reason you, the player character, keep being brought back to this point in time! Explore and figure it out! It's got a lot to explore and a mystery to uncover, so that's a solid setup. I tried this game when it was first added to gamepass. There seems to be universal "this game is underrated" kind of praise for this game, so let me be the first to offer some criticism. Answers await you in the most dangerous reaches of space.Ī World That Changes Over Time The planets of Outer Wilds are packed with hidden locations that change with the passage of time. Welcome to the Space Program! You’re the newest recruit of Outer Wilds Ventures, a fledgling space program searching for answers in a strange, constantly evolving solar system. It is not recommended that you use autopilot here, given how fast the Sun Station Orbits the Sun.About: Outer Wilds is an open world mystery about a solar system trapped in an endless time loop. We found the best way to be flying into the Sun Station and ejecting using the button on the right of the main console. In fact, you’ll get the Hotshot Achievement for doing so.

Now, while we said that landing on the Sun Station is extremely dangerous, it is still possible. This leads the Nomai to their High Energy lab experiments and the Ash Twin Project. Once you arrive at the Sun Station however, you learn that it was unsuccessful in blowing up the sun. Using the time loop, they could launch this over and over, and the Nomai statues would beam the findings to them at the start of each loop. This was to generate enough energy to launch the Orbital Probe. The Nomai built the Sun Station to trigger a supernova. Once there, you are inside the Sun Station, and can start learning all about it. Unfortunately, the bridge is out, so you will have to float to the other side. There are gravity floors to walk on, and a door to open. Once the Sun Station passes overhead, you will warp to it. Stand on it, and look up through the window. Once you’re up the grav lift, you’ll get to the warp portal. Head through the corridor, and up the grav lift. You’ll want to enter as soon as you can, as the falling sand will help you get past the spiky plants in this area. In the image shown above, you’ll see the back entrance to the Sun Tower. Your goal is to get inside, and while the main door is sealed, there’s an entrance around the back. If you wait for some of the ash to be pulled from the planet, you’ll spot the Sun Tower shown in the image above. Once there, land on one of the planet’s poles and step outside. If you’re looking to get to the Sun Station in Outer Wilds, you’ll need to head to Ash Twin.
